Ogun state police confirmed the arrest of 23-year-old Badmus Qaudri for alleged desecration of a three-year-old girl on the Owode Yewa axis in the state of Ogun.
Ogun police image producer Abimbola Oyeyemi made the announcement in a statement on Friday.
Oyeyemi reported that the suspect was arrested on Thursday after the girl’s mother reported the case to the Owode police station and noted that the blood was leaking from her daughter’s private part after she returned from the market.
The DSP hinted that the victim, questioned by her mother, revealed that it was Quadri who attracted her to her room and contaminated her.
“According to the report, DPO division Owode Egbado, SP Olabisi Elebutte, brought his investigators to the area where the suspect, a neighbor of the girl’s father, was arrested after the victim identified him.
“She was rushed to Idiroko general hospital, where it was confirmed that she is contaminated,” she revealed.
Ogun (CP) State Police Commissioner Kenneth Ebrimson found out on a daily basis and ordered the case be transferred to the IDRC state unit to combat human trafficking and child labor for further investigation and prosecution.
Ebrimson said the Ogun police command is ready to deal decisively with anyone who commits violence against women, in accordance with the country’s law.
